Jungleland is a limited-edition, printed fanzine about Bruce Springsteen. Written by ‘second-generation’ Springsteen fans, it tries to explain the …
The Bruce Springsteen fanzine I edited last year is on sale again. It sold out after two months last time, and I’m really pleased to have it available for people again.
You can have a browse of the fanzine online here.
Someone’s haul from the Brooklyn Zine Fest this past Sunday, including a re-print of Jungleland - A Springzine. So stoked. Thanks for buying (whoever you are), I hope you enjoy reading it!
More photos to come, apparently.
A bit less than a year ago, I sold out of physical copies of the fanzine. This Sunday, April 21st, it’ll be available to buy at the Brooklyn Zine Fest in Williamsburg.
This is thanks to the efforts of the festival’s organisers, Matt Carman and Kseniya Yarosh (who also run the I Love Bad Movies blog). Matt emailed me a few months ago asking whether I’d consider doing a reprint, which was very flattering. But as I’m in Colombia at the moment I had to reply that I had neither the money nor the time to pay for another print run and then promote and sell the zine online.
So last week I got another email from Matt, this time telling me that he and Kseniya would be happy to take care of the print logistics and that they would also be showing off Jungleland at their stall at the zine fest this weekend.

All of this is fucking awesome, especially considering that when I made this thing I was worried that I’d be left with 100 unshiftable copies.
The zine will be available to buy at the Brooklyn Zine Fest this Sunday (11am - 6pm) at the Public Assembly in Williamsburg) and, at a later date, online (will post the link as soon as I’ve got it). So if there are any of you who missed out on a physical copy and would like one - here you go.

Last year, I put out a limited edition print fanzine about Bruce Springsteen. It was called Jungleland and contained some great writing by fans and journalists about what the Boss and his music mean to our generation (i.e. roughly born after Born In The USA came out).
It was received pretty well and sold out after two months, but now I’ve finally gotten round to uploading it so that everyone who’s interested can have a read. Click on the thing below or just go here to leaf through or download the whole thing.
Enjoy!
Ey up lasses and lads. If you live in/near Leeds, you can pick up a copy of Jungleland - A Springzine at OK Comics, which I’m told is one of the best comic book stores in ‘the North’.
It’s awesome to have the zine stocked in an actual, physical shop, so thanks to the guys there for stocking it and to contributor and rock star bassist Toby Chelms for setting the whole thing up.
The 15 copies that are in-store are the last EVER copies (even I only have one left), so if you find yourself in the area come check it out.

Yup. I have no copies left, but a few will hopefully pop up in an actual record store soon.
Again, massive thanks to everyone who has bought a copy, I’m so pleased at how it has been received!
It’s here, boys and girls - last week I received all 150 copies of the Jungleland zine, and I’m pleased to say that they look and feel beautiful.
You can order your copy here, for the bargain price of £3. The first 20 orders get a free Jungleland pin badge, made by Sean Haughton (aka Rock Star in Well Wisher).
Big Cartel will only let me upload one picture, so here’s a few more (excuse the slight blurriness, I got a little excited):

This is what it looks on the inside:

You can read some excerpts from the zine here, here and here.
So yeah - I hope you guys like it, I’m very happy with how this little zine project turned out and I’m hugely grateful to all the contributors who let me use their work.
Buy a copy, spread the word, get excited about the summer shows!
xxx
